Multi-Day Journey Itinerary for Southern Berkshires Town-to-Town -
3 days hiking/4 overnights
Arrive Sunday in the early afternoon
Meet up with the Berkshire Camino crew and fellow guests at a designated lot where you will park your vehicle for the duration of the event.
Attend the Opening Reception (included) featuring local libations with alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices and munchies (including vegetarian). Meet your fellow retreat participants, get to know the Berkshire Camino Crew and cross the threshold into our sacred walking space.
Van transport to the Little Cat Lodge for check-in. Enjoy the barrel sauna and pool.
Dinner at the Tavern at Little Cat Lodge and a night cap around the fire pit.
Overnight at the Little Cat Lodge.
Monday - Hiking day #1
Breakfast buffet (included) at the Little Cat Lodge.
Hike approximately 7 miles on easy, woodland trails with minimal elevation gain.
Late lunch (included) following the hike.
Transport by van to the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge town center for check-in. We will be staying in the Maple Glen guest house.
Swim in the year-round heated pool, hot tub, stroll around downtown Stockbridge or just relax.
Dinner on your own or with new friends in Stockbridge town center. Several restaurants are within short walking distance from the inn.
Overnight at the Red Lion Inn - Maple Glen Guest House. Private en suite bathrooms and cozy common area.
Tuesday - Hiking day #2
Breakfast on your own at your choice of Stockbridge cafes.
Hike from the town center of Housatonic to Stockbridge. Distance approximately 9 miles.
Enjoy a picnic lunch (included) on the grounds of Chesterwood, historic home and studio of Daniel Chester French, sculptor of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. en route to Stockbridge.
Relax at the Red Lion Inn and have dinner on your own again in Stockbridge.
Overnight at the Red Lion Inn.
Wednesday - Hiking day #3
Breakfast on your own at your choice of Stockbridge cafes.
Depart the Red Lion Inn on foot for the day hike which consists of two sections. Walk from Stockbridge to Lee and/or Lee to Lenox. We’ll stop for lunch in Lee. This is a long hike (approximately 10 miles) giving you a chance to test your endurance. The van is on stand-by at any time should it be needed.
Enjoy stops on the hike at High Lawn Farm and Edith Wharton’s Gilded Age Home, The Mount.
We’ll transport you to downtown Lenox for the closing night dinner.
Overnight at Lifehouse Berkshires.
Thursday - Departure day
Enjoy breakfast (on your own) at Lifehouse Berkshires.
Depart for home.
